91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ

Our goal for 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ¡¯s 50th anniversary is to raise $500,000 by June 30, 2026.

Looking to 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ’s long-term stability, we are beginning to build an endowment¡ªone that will protect and steward this education for all who wish to study here. We are starting from the beginning, and we know that over time, with steady support, this work will grow into something that sustains 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ for generations.

To keep costs as low as possible, our current budget allows only for modest remuneration for our faculty and staff, with minimal health benefits or provisions for retirement. Costs are rising nationally, and especially in California. We need to make upwards adjustments to cover the basic requisites of life. Our faculty and staff work at 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ not for money or status, but because they want to serve and to be part of this mission. Each professor and staff member is hired because of their alignment with that mission, and it takes more than five years to train new faculty in our model of education. Without cost-of-living adjustments, we will start to lose our talent as they look elsewhere to maintain their basic livelihood. We have a responsibility to ensure they can continue to work at 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ over the long term.

The $500,000 raised this year will support our ongoing operations, allow us to begin closing the gap in faculty and staff support, and lay the foundation of an endowment that will sustain 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ for generations to come.
