16 Arhats features the exquisitely detailed arhats created by Master Guanxiu, a renowned monk during the Tang Dynasty. The scrolls are part of the 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ permanent art collection and were last exhibited in 2018. Open to the public Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, until May 31 and by appointment.
Uniting Borders
Uniting Borders features the inspiring works of international artists from the Academy of Special Dreams, a Los Angeles-based foundation with a “mission to increase public awareness, appreciation, and recognition of the creative talents of people with disabilities by providing opportunities that encourage, promote, and showcase their artistic expressions.” Open to the public Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, until May 31 and by appointment.
91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Community Art Show
91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Community Art Show features 118 works of art from across the 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ community, as well as the IGDV girls’ and boys’ schools, with artists ranging in age from under 10 to over 80. The exhibition celebrates the bold ingenuity of our peers and friends and the vibrant diversity of our community. Open to the public Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, until May 31 and by appointment.
42 Hands and Eyes
42 Hands and Eyes, in the Sudhana Center Buddha Hall, features the vibrant mosaics of Carmel artist Carolyn Hanson. This set joins Hanson’s large scale mosaics above the altar and stained glass windows in the side hall. Not open to the public; viewing by appointment only.
